TOURISM 4.0 | Ribeira de Pena hosted the 3rd Training Action
Took place this Monday, June 20th, the 3rd training action provided in Alto Tâmega Project – Tourism 4.0, with the theme “Experience is Everything!”, at Pena Park Hotel in Ribeira de Pena.
The session aimed to: understand the new trends of Experience Tourism and stimulate creativity and innovation in the presentation of tourism assets, experiences and tourism products.
As the guest speaker was the representative of Portugal NTN, accompanied by representatives of PENHAS – Consulting, and Events. The First Executive Secretary of the Intermunicipal Community of Alto Tâmega (CIMAT), Ramiro Gonçalves, was also present.
These actions have the objective to capacitate the Alto Tâmega’s tour operators in order to endow them with the technical and functional knowledge necessary to modernize their businesses, adapt the touristic offer to the new challenges of Tourism and raise awareness of the advantages inherent to the establishment of partnerships with the other tour operators of the Region.
Also this week, the 4th training action will take place online, thinking of those who may have travel difficulties. This will take place on June 22 (Wednesday), at 3:00 pm, with the theme “Enhancing the Territory’s Identity”.

Next week:
- On June 27 (Monday), from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., the 5th capacity building action will take place at Boticas Parque – Natureza e Biodiversidade, in Boticas, with the theme “Culture of Service in the Tourism Sector”.
Participation is free of charge, but subject to MANDATORY REGISTRATION until Friday (June 24) at 5pm, since the session ends with lunch.

- On June 29 (Wednesday) will take place the 6th training action in online format, at 3pm, with the theme “Alto Tâmega Region of Well-Being.
