BTL 2022 | CIM of Alto Tâmega was present in the biggest Portuguese Touristic Exhibition
The Intermunicipal Community of Alto Tâmega (CIMAT) was present in that which is the largest Portuguese tourist exhibition – Bolsa de Turismo de Lisboa (BTL), which took place between 16 and 20 March, in Parque das Nações, in Lisbon.
After an interruption of two years due to the pandemic caused by the Covid-19, the CIMAT took its Stand to the pavilions of the International Fair of Lisbon (FIL) to realize an integrated and concerted promotion of the territory of Alto Tâmega, having for base the strategy of development of the region.
The presence of CIMAT in this fair, counted with the participation and collaboration of all the municipalities of Alto Tâmega (Boticas, Chaves, Montalegre, Ribeira de Pena, Valpaços and Vila Pouca de Aguiar), which allowed to make known the touristic potentialities of the region, as well as to promote its endogenous products, with tasting proofs, next to the thousands of visitors of the fair.
Along with the promotion carried out at the stand, CIMAT also joined, for the first time, the “Hosted Buyers” Programme which aims to support the coming of international buyers to the country.
Once enrolled in the programme, the buyers request meetings with the adhering entities, which are more suitable for the investment they intend to make. To refer that CIMAT was requested, by nine international buyers, to meet and present the potentialities of Alto Tâmega’s territory.
Were five days dedicated to the disclosure of the best that there is and that is made in the region, in that is considered one of the biggest tourism fairs made in Portugal and with international range.
Beyond the presence of the tourism technicians of the municipalities, were also present the autarchs of the six municipalities (presidents, vice-presidents and town councillors), as well as the Executive Secretariat of CIMAT, composed by Ramiro Gonçalves and José Alberto Diegas.
