ALTO TÂMEGA | River Beach of Rabaçal distinguished with the Five Stars Regions 2022 Award
The Rabaçal River Beach won the Five Stars Regions 2022 Award, in the category “Beaches”, for the district of Vila Real.
Located about 8 km from the city of Valpaços, it presents excellent natural conditions for the practice of sports and leisure moments.
It is a beach totally accessible to the riverbed through footbridges, so that everyone can enjoy the comfort, safety and quality of that space. Here you will also find the Interpretative Centre of the Rabaçal Ecovia, the meeting point of the three routes that make up the footpath that gives it its name.
The Rabaçal River Beach also has a bar service, a picnic park and a children’s playground, among other facilities.
The Five Stars Regions Prize counts already with the 5th edition and aims to value and to give to know the best of each Portuguese region at the level of gastronomy, natural resources, traditional parties, monuments and patrimony, among several other categories.
In the Alto Tâmega region, besides the Praia Fluvial do Rabaçal was also awarded the Clínica da Muralha, located in Chaves, in the category “Medical Clinics”.
