Visit Alto Tâmega e Barroso

The Theatre Group Fórum Boticas will present its new play: “Quem levou Teus Trinta Ramos?”, already this Saturday, March 19th, at the Parish Council Hall of Boticas e Granja.  The texts are by Raúl Brandão and Gil Vicente.

This show inaugurates the CulturAT Project – Touristic Promotion of Alto Tâmega through Culture, promoted by the Intermunicipal Community of Alto Tâmega (CIMAT), in partnership with the Municipality of Ribeira de Pena and the Ecomuseum – Association of Barroso.

The project resulted from an application presented to the Notice NORTE 14-2020-25 – “Cultural Heritage – Cultural Programming in Network”, and has as specific objective to promote the dynamization, promotion and development of the cultural heritage, as a tool of differentiation and competitiveness of Alto Tâmega’s territory and, at the same time, to support the companies of the culture sector of the region.

Taking advantage of the high number of philharmonic bands existing in the Region, with great presence in festivities and pilgrimages, of two Academies of Arts (Chaves and Ribeira de Pena) and of three theatre groups, it was sought to create a cultural programme in network in places with the presence of relevant cultural and natural patrimony, in each one of the six Alto Tâmega’s municipalities.

This will be the first of the 26 moments of cultural promotion foreseen, being 25 of them in the territory (19 shows of philharmonic bands and 6 of theatre) and 1 international event (show to be produced by the Academy of Arts of Chaves).
