Tourism 4.0 | “The Gastronomic Experience as a Visiting Card for Regional Tourism” was the theme of the 7th Training Action -Valpaços
Took place this Monday, 4th of July, the 7th training action of the tour operators of the region, foreseen in Alto Tâmega Project – Tourism 4.0, with the theme “The Gastronomic Experience as a Visit Card of the Regional Tourism”, in Quinta D.ª Adelaide, in Valpaços.
The session had as objectives: to understand the impact of the gastronomic experience in all dimensions of the touristic experience of the territory and to reflect about the “path” that goes from the excellence products to the excellence gastronomic service.
This action had guest speakers: Ana Alves, representing the Regional Winegrowing Commission of Trás-os-Montes, and Jorge Velez, a businessman in the sector, accompanied by the representative of PENHAS – Consulting and Events. The First Executive Secretary of the Intermunicipal Community of Alto Tâmega (CIMAT), Ramiro Gonçalves, also was present.
These actions have the objective to capacitate the touristic operators of Alto Tâmega in the sense of endow them with the technical and functional knowledge necessary to modernize its business, to adapt the touristic offer to the new challenges of Tourism and to sensitize to the inherent advantages to the establishment of partnerships with the other touristic operators of the Region.
Today (6 July – Wednesday), the 8th training action will take place, online, at 3pm, with the theme “Networks of relationships between tourism stakeholders”.

Next week:
- July 11 (Monday), from 9.30am to 12.30pm, the 9th training action will take place at the Hotel Restaurant Aguiar da Pena, in Vila Pouca de Aguiar, with the theme “Tourism Product Organisation”.
The participation is free of charge, but subject to the REQUIRED REGISTRATION until Friday (July 8) at 5pm, since the session ends with lunch.

- On July 13 (Wednesday) the 10th training action will take place in online format, at 15h00, with the theme “Innovation and Sustainability in Nature Tourism”.
