Tourém People’s Oven

A monumental community oven, built entirely of stone, with walls reinforced by powerful buttresses and a pardieiros roof. Inside you can see three round arches supporting the roof and a large bread-baking stall against the wall. In addition to its architectural value, it symbolises and materialises a way of being and being of the population, communitarianism. With a capacity for 40 loaves of bread, it is still used occasionally.
