Revés Water Pillory

In the square of the village of Água Revés, next to the old Paços do Concelho building, stands the pillory, a symbol of monarchical and later municipal administrative power, classified as a IIP in 1953. It is thought to date back to the 16th century. It consists of a two-stepped parapet on which the granite base, shaft and finial rest. The base is made up of a quadrangular tray, the same height as the steps, on which stands the shaft, about 3 metres high, on which the finial rests.
