Panoramic Route of the Lagoon

In the middle of the Padrela Mountains, this panoramic road derives from the N206 and has stopping points and observation of the landscape extending over the extraordinary valley of Valoura, up to Pedras Salgadas. This valley, with a strongly enclosed conformation, results in a microclimate that facilitates the occurrence of cork oaks, holm oaks, olive trees, fig trees or almond trees. The avifauna is also unique, especially along the riverside gallery of the Freixo brook. The houses, mostly in shale, are well preserved and traditional agriculture maintains its ancestral characteristics.
