Fountain of Loves

It’s a waterfall with a lake flanked by cliffs and trees, whose name comes from the legend of the Fonte dos Amores.
It is said that a Moorish girl fell into the water while bathing. She cried out for help and was rescued by a boy who dived into the icy water. A few days later, the Moor returned to the same spot and dived in, sliding into the water. The boy had the same thought and surfaced. When he came up, he saw her. At that moment they realised they were in love. A great love was born and the boy gave her a rose he had in his shirt pocket, hoping to find her. The two young people dated for a long time and got married.
