The ‘Quinta do Cruzeiro’ House Museum, part of the Barroso Ecomuseum, located in Covas do Barroso, is an integral part of Casa do Silvas, an old manor farm that functioned organically, producing and transforming the products needed for life in the house. Here you can learn about some aspects of the social life of Casa do Silvas and the village of Covas do Barroso. You’ll also be able to tour the working spaces of Quinta do Cruzeiro and see the structures that made it self-sustainable, such as the threshing floor, the granary, the canastros, the mill, the oven, the wine and olive oil presses and the alembic.
