The official opening of the fair took place today, in the Multipurpose Room of the Cultural Centre of Chaves, with the presence of the Minister of Agriculture and Food, Maria do Céu Antunes. To point out also the presence of the host, the Mayor of Chaves, Nuno Vaz, of the First Executive Secretary of CIMAT, Ramiro Gonçalves, other mayors of the other municipalities that compose the region of Alto Tâmega and Barroso, and representatives of other entities with projection in the territory.

According to the Flavian municipality, there are 60 exhibitors that during these three days try to sell the best products of the region, counting this year with a space dedicated to biological products.

The presence of CIMAT’s Stand in this event happens in a logic of integrated promotion of the whole territory of Alto Tâmega and Barroso, as it has already been a habit in other gastronomic fairs that equally attract thousands of visitors.
