SAVE THE DATE – March 31st | II Alto Tâmega e Barroso Tourism Forum
The Aquanatur Palace (former Cine-Teatro), in Chaves, is the venue for the “II Alto Tâmega e Barroso Tourism Forum – Sustainability and Growth in the Interior”, scheduled for March 31 (Monday), between 9:00 and 18:00.
The second edition of this event aims to once again be the stage for sharing the evolution of tourism trends in the interior of the country, namely the work that has been carried out in Alto Tâmega e Barroso, and what the future prospects are for this sector.
The initiative will feature a number of speakers with expertise in a wide range of tourism-related topics, who will be key to an active, constructive discussion that generates added value. There will also be a space dedicated to networking between operators linked to the area in question, with the aim of this being a time for acquiring knowledge, sharing good practices and designing strategies that can boost their businesses and the Territory.
The Aquanatur Palace, which was born from one of the most emblematic sites in the city of Flavi, the former Cine-Teatro, is a multi-purpose space, located on the city’s most important commercial artery, capable of hosting events of significant size and, at the same time, providing unique experiences through interaction, experimentation and learning around water, based on virtual reality technology, augmented reality and holography, which allow immersive and multi-sensory interaction, in one of the largest immersive rooms in the country.
Water is the endogenous resource that serves as the starting point for this space, which aims not only to boost the entire historical, cultural and educational concept associated with it, but also to create the conditions for the Alto Tâmega e Barroso Region to take on a distinctive position in terms of its ability to carry out research projects in new areas such as those related to technological innovation.
Although the event is essentially aimed at tourism operators, participation is open to all interested parties and is free of charge, although compulsory registration is required via the following link: https://forms.gle/8MPiy3Hwkw5taqdU9
