REGION | Companies from Alto Tâmega and Barroso awarded in the IV Entrepreneurship and Companies Gala
The Peninsula Room of the Hotel Casino de Chaves hosted another edition of the Gala of Entrepreneurship and Companies of Alto Tâmega e Barroso (4th edition), last December 2nd (Friday). This is an initiative of the Intermunicipal Community of Alto Tâmega e Barroso (CIMAT), in partnership with EHATB – Empreendimentos Hidroelétricos do Alto Tâmega e Barroso.
The IV Gala of Entrepreneurship and Companies of Alto Tâmega e Barroso had as aim to distinguish and recognize the participants of the 4th edition of the Contest of Ideas of Alto Tâmega e Barroso of 2022 and the Companies and Organizations of Alto Tâmega e Barroso which, along 2021 and 2022, valued the territory, either by attracting European funds, either by contributing to the visibility of the same.
Contrarily to the previous years, in the edition of this year, the winners of the Ideas Contest of Alto Tâmega e Barroso were not given to know, due to the fact that the process of empowerment has started later and, therefore, the conditions for the final evaluation are not yet gathered. However, were presented the six projects which are participating in this 4th edition of the Contest, namely: “Torrão da Terra”, “Novos Sabores”, “Kura Alma”, “Strong Spirit”, “Natur Supreme” and “Fishing with life”.
More than 130 Companies and Organisations were distinguished in the following categories: Investment (+ CO3SO and PAPN), Management (PME-Leader), Visibility and Merit.

The event counted with the animation of the Group Xutos Addiction, with a tribute to the recognized Portuguese band “Xutos e Pontapés”, and the Dancers of Forma – Estúdio de Dança.
Among the several entities of Alto Tâmega e Barroso, companies and organizations, were also present the Presidents, Vice-presidents and Town Councillors of the six municipalities of Alto Tâmega e Barroso (Boticas, Chaves, Montalegre, Ribeira de Pena, Valpaços and Vila Pouca de Aguiar), the First Executive Secretary of CIMAT, Ramiro Gonçalves, the Secretary of State for Regional Development, Isabel Ferreira, the President of the Northern Regional Coordination and Development Commission CCDR-N, António Cunha, the Vice-President of the Portuguese Environment Agency (APA), Pimenta Machado, and the Regional Director of Agriculture and Fisheries of the North (DRAPN), Carla Alves.
