ArtFest project took theatre and dance to Montalegre
The Municipal Auditorium of Montalegre received two shows of the Alto Tâmega ArtFest project last weekend: the Teatro Experimental Flaviense took to the stage on Friday (25 November) the play “Choices of the Past”, and the Christine Veen dance school animated the Saturday night (26 November).
Not even the cold weather felt in the town of Montalegre was a hindrance for both shows to have a large audience, highlighting the presence of the municipal executive led by president Fátima Fernandes.
The Project ArtFest (NORTE-04-2114-FEDER-000455) is an initiative of the Intermunicipal Community of Alto Tâmega e Barroso (CIMAT) and has as a general objective the promotion and touristic valorization of the cultural heritage of the territory.
For such, it presents a program of network culture involving the six municipalities of Alto Tâmega e Barroso (Boticas, Chaves, Montalegre, Ribeira de Pena, Valpaços, and Vila Pouca de Aguiar), promoting the animation of cultural spaces (auditoriums, theatres, multipurpose rooms, multipurpose rooms and other enclosures of shows), as well as the municipal museums and museological spaces.
