Ideas Competition “Empreender no Alto Tâmega e Barroso” foments partnerships between ex-participants
Torrão da Terra/Vidago Valley and Barro Alto join efforts and launch Workshop – Clay Modelling & Picnic to be held on June 18th, at 15h00, in Vidago.
Fruit of the product restructuring that he did to his business during the training/concretization phase of the 4th edition of the Ideas Contest “Empreender no Alto Tâmega e Barroso”, Anísio Saraiva, the entrepreneur responsible for the Torrão da Terra/Vidago Valley, launched yesterday, May 31, the first of a series of workshops in partnership with other businesses, with the hashtag #experienciasbyvidagovalley.
This first partnership stands out for the Intermunicipal Community of Alto Tâmega and Barroso (CIMAT), promoter entity of the Ideas Contest, by the fact that this entrepreneur has selected a project also a participant in this contest (1st edition) – Barro Alto, of the entrepreneur Marta Malheiro.
Located in the spa town of Vidago, in the center of the bio-region of Alto Tâmega and Barroso, Vidago Valley presents itself as “a project that aggregates experiences in the area of biological agriculture (Torrão da Terra) and handicraft (Flores do Torrão), providing an experience in the context of nature in its pure state and the development of synergies that value the specificities of the territory and local culture”.
Barro Alto, as the name suggests, works with clay and aims to “put this sustainable resource from Trás-os-Montes back to use, so that the undoubted link between the final pieces and the raw material that originates them is resumed, with a contemporary touch, always based on what nature offers us”.
Besides all the training to which they had access, the network resulting from this type of initiative is one of the key aspects for the success of these projects. This way, CIMAT congratulates these former participants of the ideas contest, not only for the work developed so far but also for joining efforts between businesses that, although different, can complement each other and create differentiating experiences such as this one.
