Rally da Água-Transiberico Eurocity Chaves-Verín

The Chaves-Verín Eurocity Trans-Iberian Water Rally will take place on the 15th and 16th of September, this year with great news: the race, with its epicenter in the Municipality of Chaves, will have some timed sections in the region of the Chaves-Verín Eurocity (Spain).

It is the internationalization of a rally already consolidated in the panorama of Portuguese motorsport, inserted in the Portuguese Rally Championship (CPR), with great potential for growth, in an organization of CAMI Motorsport.

The course, considered by many riders to be one of the best asphalt rallies in the championship, is being prepared with the support of the municipalities of Chaves and Verín.

Its geographic location – proximity to the Autonomous Community of Galicia – and the Água brand are assets that the event itself has, with an impact on regional, national and neighboring country media, as well as Portuguese and Galician motorsport fans.

This year, the Water Rally gains greater projection with the integration and support of the Chaves-Verín Eurocity (European Cross-border Cooperation Groupings). A destination that spans two countries and one of the largest concentrations of thermal springs in Europe, which have given rise to a unique thermal heritage and the most innovative wellness offer. And also wine and gastronomy, border fortresses, the Camino de Santiago, among many points of interest.

This is a leap in the internationalization of the race, with media projection in the Iberian Peninsula, especially in the North of Portugal and in the Autonomous Community of Galicia.
