Montalegre | Lecture ‘Montalegre – Sustainable Tourist Destination’

The headquarters of the Ecomuseu de Barroso, in Montalegre, is hosting a talk on ‘Montalegre – Sustainable Tourist Destination’. With this in mind, the Municipality of Montalegre is challenging all those who, directly or indirectly, live in and benefit from Montalegre’s tourism activity. This is an action that will recognise those who participate as certified economic agents.
It should be noted that there are certification programmes, recognised by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC), to support sustainability for companies linked to tourism, which aim to assess and reward their commitment in the fields of environmental management, social responsibility, health and safety, and which make it possible to certify the local business fabric, giving visibility to those who stand out in the field of sustainability and also contributing to an increase in the municipality’s results in its own certification process.
