Montalegre | 21st Cross-Border Gathering

Tourém and Randín will come together once again on 22 August for the 21st Cross-Border Gathering, an initiative that celebrates the proximity, friendship and strong bonds that have united the communities on both sides of the border for generations.
The event kicks off in Tourém at 11.00 am, setting off from the church towards the border marker, where Mass will be held. This will be followed by a communal lunch, on a day that will also feature dancing and raffles.
On the Galician side, the community of Randín will begin the programme at 12.00 pm, next to the church, before proceeding to the border crossing to join the celebration.
More than just a border between two countries, this gathering represents a point of unity between neighbouring peoples who share history, traditions and affection. A day of fellowship that reinforces, once again, the bond between Tourém and Randín.
