Eurocity Chaves-Verin invites young people to reinvent rural life

As part of the Rural Youth of Europe (RUYOU) project, the Eurocidade Chaves-Verín, EGTC challenges young people from the region to take part in the latest edition of the International Creative Jams, on the theme of “Reinventing rural life: the lives of young people in rural areas”, which will take place on 1 and 2 February.

This face-to-face activity, which will take place in English, aims to bring together young people from Romania, Malta, Galicia and Portugal.

The day will present different themes, such as the involvement of young people in their rural communities, inclusive societies, mental health and well-being, rural exodus of young people, cultural dynamisation, among others. Spread over two days, it will allow for teamwork and reflection in the search for solutions to some of the rural world’s problems. Each group will develop an idea/solution, which at the end of the event will be assessed by a jury. The best project will be awarded a prize.

As well as creating solutions, the young people will have access to workshops, with space for interaction with success stories. Participants will also have the opportunity to visit some of the tourist attractions in Chaves and Verín.
