On 30 November 2024, Matilde Lopes Neves will present her latest book, ‘O Estendal’. The presentation will take place in the Multipurpose Room of the Chaves Cultural Centre at 16h00.

Within us live thousands of feelings that we can’t always accommodate in our chests.

What if we could spread them out slowly, carefully, using cotton springs and pampering to hold them without hurting them and… wait until they heal? On Tita’s magical clothesline, which stands in the middle of the courtyard, sadness and anger are spread out, but also joy, love and, look, even the soul is spread out… in the sun.

This is the story of Duarte, who, around a magical clothesline, discovers that love is what lives inside our chests!
