Chaves | Story Time – “The Cat in the Hat” and “The Giant Turnip”

The Library offers young children an hour of discovery and imagination, as part of its efforts to promote reading and encourage the sharing of books.

“The Cat in the Hat”, written by Dr Seuss. It’s a rainy day, and Sally and her brother are bored at home. That’s when the Cat in the Hat turns up.
Target audience: Pre-schoolers

“The Giant Turnip”, written by António Mota and illustrated by Catarina Marques. Once upon a time, there was an old man – a very old, thin and short man – who sowed turnips in his vegetable patch.
Target audience: Primary school.
