Sensory tour of the Roman Baths Museum marks International Day for Monuments and Sites
The Municipality is once again marking International Day for Monuments and Sites by organising, this year, sensory guided tours of the Roman Baths Museum, with access to areas of the museum that are usually inaccessible to the public.
On Friday 17 April, participants will have the opportunity to touch and feel the temperature of the mineral-medicinal waters of the Roman Baths. In addition, visitors will be able to view a virtual reconstruction of this important heritage site alongside the ruins.
The initiative comprises two sessions: one in the morning, from 10.30 am to 12.30 pm, and another in the afternoon, from 2.30 pm to 4.30 pm. Participation is free, but subject to compulsory prior registration, and is limited to 10 participants per session.
Under the theme “Living Heritage: Emergency Response in Contexts of Conflict and Disaster”, the event forms part of the awareness-raising campaign promoted by Património Cultural, I.P., in collaboration with ICOMOS.
