Chaves | Festival of the Peoples at Aquae Flaviae
On the third weekend of August, Chaves celebrates the golden age of the Roman Empire at Aquae Flaviae, with the twelfth edition of the Galician-Roman market, the ‘Festival of the Peoples at Aquae Flaviae’.
Over the course of three days, the Gallaecian peoples, legionaries, gladiators, senators, musicians, dancers, beggars, slaves, falconers and deities will be represented in a constant flurry of events depicting daily life in Aquae Flaviae, alongside a wide variety of socio-cultural activities.
