Chaves | Bilhó – Artist Residency – Photography – Anarchy of the Portrait

Organised by photographer Tiago Miranda, this photographic residency offers a unique opportunity to explore the art of portraiture, focusing on different lighting techniques and the relationship between portraitist and subject.

Participants will have the chance to work with natural and artificial light, including continuous light and flash, and delve into the psychology of portraiture. The residency includes both outdoor sessions and street studio portraits, providing a complete and diverse experience.

Contents:

Saturday (Morning): Natural light; Artificial lighting – continuous light and flash; The psychology of portraiture, relationship between portraitist and subject.

Saturday (Afternoon): Portraits of local businesses with natural light

Sunday (Morning): Street studio portraits

Recommended ages: Over 15s

Limited to 15 participants.

Duration: 10 hours.

This workshop takes place at the following times:

Saturday 9 November (10h00 – 13h00 & 14h30 – 18h30);
