Chaves | 25th April Freedom Run

As part of the celebrations for the 50th anniversary of the 25th of April, the Municipality is promoting the traditional Freedom Run, which must be registered before 19 April.

The initiative has the support of the Vila Real Athletics Association and features a 10km run for federated and non-federated athletes born in 2006 and earlier, a 1km run for younger athletes, for federated and non-federated athletes born in 2012 and earlier, as well as a 7km walk for all age groups and non-competitive purposes.

This event, to be held on 25 April 2024, will start at 10am, with departure and arrival at Alameda do Trajano – behind the Municipal Swimming Pool. It includes cash prizes for the overall winners and the winners of the various classes, a prize for the largest team, worth 150 euros, and a participation prize worth 150 euros will also be raffled off among all the participants who finish the race.
