Charity Walk
Thermal spas organize a charity walk for the Patronato de São José in Nantes.
On Saturday 30th September, the Termas de Chaves will be promoting a charity walk to Vilar de Nantes. Under the motto “Give more life to the years, give the years more life”, this initiative aims to encourage healthy living habits among the population, while also promoting the municipality’s natural heritage.
The gathering and warm-up exercises will take place next to the thermal baths at 9 a.m., which will be the starting point for the walk along the Veiga de Chaves. The route is approximately 7 kilometers long and is of easy/medium difficulty.
Participants will also be treated to a relaxation class and a talk on “Healthy Lifestyles” by Filipe Ferreira, a nutritionist from Termas de Chaves. This will be followed by a visit to the Patronato de São José, where they will learn about the facilities, mission and activities of this institution. A healthy lunch will be served at the end.
The return to the urban center of Chaves will be by public transport, provided by the organisation.
Those interested should register at the Termas de Chaves until the day before the walk (29 September) at 12.30 pm, at a cost of 6 euros.
