“Carnival Traditions” on display at the Alto Tâmega e Barroso Tourist Office
Between 5 and 11 February, the Alto Tâmega e Barroso Tourist Office (PTAT) will be home to the “Carnival Traditions of the Alto Tâmega e Barroso Region” exhibition, showing the public the region’s most traditional costumes during the Carnival season.
The exhibition will feature costumes from the parish of Tourém (municipality of Montalegre) and the municipality of Ribeira de Pena. Anyone passing by the PTAT facilities – located in Alameda do Tabolado, in Chaves – will be able to see the “Felipeiros”, “Cabeçudos” and “Carranhosas”. Outside the PTAT there will also be a structure alluding to the theme.
