BILHÓ – Interdisciplinary Arts Festival – Interpretation for the Camera
Led by actor Paulo Calatré, this workshop offers a theoretical and practical approach to the audiovisual world, providing an in-depth understanding of the working space in this area.
Participants will have the opportunity to explore the difference between acting for theatre and for the camera, learn to work with different shots and framings, and understand the impact of editing on acting. Topics such as camera awareness, listening, backstage, and improvisation will also be covered, with an emphasis on the importance of ‘being in the moment’, using error as a creative act, and repetition as part of the process.
