Bilhó – Interdisciplinary Art Festival
The cultural festival, which brings artistic creation closer to the community, runs from 1 to 10 December With all audiences in mind, the programme includes concerts, workshops, round tables and an artistic residency.
Based on Margarida Carvalho’s choreographic project “Salto Longe”, recently premiered by the Quorum Ballet company, the choreographer and dancer will work with local artists to recreate two choreographic moments from the same piece.
Inspired by the act of “jumping” across the raia, a reality so close to the community of Flavi, this work of community creation will cross artistic areas and culminate in the recording of these two choreographies on video.
BILHÓ is about sharing and absorption. It’s parity between those who create and those who soak up creation. It’s a meeting point. It’s the cosiness of evenings by the fire and the shyness broken by the crackling of roasted chestnuts.
This activity is being developed in partnership with the Municipality of Chaves, under the Cultural Development Collaboration Protocol for this year.
