15th December to 6th January | Christmas Cribs Exhibition at PTAT

Between 15 December and 6 January, the Alto Tâmega e Barroso Tourist Office (PTAT) will be hosting the Christmas Nativity Scene exhibition of the Casa Museu dos Candeias.

This initiative is an Exhibition of Nativity Scenes from the Casa Museu dos Candeias. The collection is made up of nativity scenes that can be seen all year round in the Chapel of the Casa Museu dos Candeias, each of which has its own story, both in terms of the type of material and its provenance. Many of these items have been donated to the Museum and, in particular, to the Chapel of Our Lady of Candeias.

Those who visit the space will be shown the secret of the House’s first crib, that of Mrs Maria das Candeias.

The Alto Tâmega e Barroso Tourist Office, located in Alameda do Tabolado in Chaves, is open to the public from Monday to Sunday.
