Ideas Competition | Road Show “The future of the labour market and entrepreneurship”

The Intermunicipal Community of Alto Tâmega e Barroso (CIMAT), in partnership with EHATB – Empreendimentos Hidroeléctricos do Alto Tâmega e Barroso, passed by the several teaching establishments of the region, with the Road Show “The future of the labor market and the entrepreneurial initiative”.

Last week, the schools of the territory opened their doors to receive the Road Show “The future of the labor market and the entrepreneurial initiative”, directed to the youngsters attending the 10th, 11th, and 12th years of secondary education (regular and professional).

This initiative appears in the scope of the Ideas Contest “Empreender no Alto Tâmega e Barroso” (4th edition) which aims to actively promote the conception and implementation of the success of entrepreneurial initiatives in the region, which actively contribute to the development of the region, as well as to encourage and cultivate an entrepreneurial attitude in young people in school age, through the implementation of specific activities, directed to this target audience.

The edition of this year is designed to support two distinct segments, being that to the “Group 2 – Entrepreneur in the Future” can apply the young people attending the 10th, 11th, and 12th years of secondary education (regular and professional), in one of the educational establishments of Alto Tâmega e Barroso region.

This way, the regulation of the contest foresees the realization of two activities with this segment:

Firstly, the Roadshow “The future of the labor market and the entrepreneurship initiative”, which consisted of the realization of disclosure and reflection sessions about the labor market ecosystems of the future and the presentation of the present Contest to the young people previously mentioned. In this action, it was possible to involve a total of around 700 students.

Subsequently, with the students who applied to the Ideas Competition, the Bootcamp “Entrepreneur in the future” will be carried out, where young people will work on the ideas presented with the support of the technical team. Students can apply individually or in groups and have until 31 October to do so.

The students of the three winning ideas will be attributed vouchers with experiences in Alto Tâmega and Barroso.
