
CIMAT promotes the territory at Xantar 2023
Until Sunday 5 November, the Intermunicipal Community of Alto Tâmega and Barroso (CIMAT) will be present at Xantar – International Gastronomic Tourism Exhibition, in Ourense, an initiative that is now in its 24th edition.
The various products of the Alto Tâmega e Barroso region, as well as the upcoming events to be held in the various municipalities of the territory – Boticas, Chaves, Montalegre, Ribeira de Pena, Valpaços and Vila Pouca de Aguiar – are once again being promoted in the Spanish city of Ourense.
Today, 2 November, the first day of this initiative, which runs until Sunday 5 November, was dedicated to CIMAT, and was attended by Ana Rita Dias, Councillor of Vila Pouca de Aguiar Town Council, Ramiro Gonçalves, First Executive Secretary of CIMAT, who presented the territory and its enormous potential, as well as tourism experts from the municipalities that make up CIMAT.
As has been its habit over the last few years, CIMAT has taken part in various national and international gastronomic fairs, actively promoting the various products that the Alto Tâmega e Barroso region has to offer.
Xantar – International Gastronomic Tourism Fair is an event that defends the quality of Gastronomy and Sustainable and Healthy Tourism, combining the tradition and innovation of the territories represented through exhibitions, themed tastings, live cooking and many other initiatives that take place over five days of intense activity. The best gastronomic and wine destinations from Portugal, Spain and Latin America are taking part in the event.
