CIMAT attends Rainha do Fumeiro in Montalegre
Today, Thursday, January 18, marks the start of the Montalegre Feira do Fumeiro, an event in which the Alto Tâmega e Barroso Intermunicipal Community (CIMAT) is once again present with its own stand, thus promoting the entire region to the thousands of visitors who are expected during the four days of the event.
The Rainha do Fumeiro, now in its XXXIII edition, is taking place at the Montalegre Multipurpose Pavilion until Sunday 21st, where, in addition to the best smoked meats and pork by-products that Montalegre’s producers still make by hand, there will be plenty of bee products, bakery, sweets, jams, aromatic and medicinal herbs, handicrafts, wines and liqueurs, as well as lots of entertainment.
During the four days of the Fair, the CIMAT stand will be on site to promote the tourist potential of the entire Alto Tâmega e Barroso territory, which includes not only the municipality of Montalegre, but also the municipalities of Boticas, Chaves, Ribeira de Pena, Valpaços and Vila Pouca de Aguiar.
The official opening of the event is scheduled for 4pm.
