Alto Tâmega and Barroso Tourist Office hosted a study visit

Students of the 5th grade of Portuguese from the Fernão de Magalhães School Group – Chaves made today, May 8th, a study visit to the Tourist Office of Alto Tâmega and Barroso (PTAT) in order to learn “in loco” what it is a tourist route.

Within the scope of non-literary texts – O Roteiro, and at the initiative of Professor Rita Carvalho, these students of the 2nd cycle of the Portuguese discipline of the Fernão de Magalhães School Group visited the PTAT with the aim of receiving information about the construction of this informative element and how it is used by tourism technicians to promote the territory among tourists.

Since the tourist itinerary is part of the syllabus of the Portuguese subject, this study visit will serve as a basis for these students to prepare a personalized itinerary to be presented in the classroom.

The PTAT technical team made a presentation of the tourist itinerary of the Alto Tâmega and Barroso region and explained to the students of this group the type of integrated tourist promotion carried out in this space. At the end, each student was presented with a copy of the roadmap for future support to the study and work that they have to develop within the scope of the discipline.
