
Alto Tâmega and Barroso Tourism Office announces Nadir Afonso Museum of Contemporary Art
Until the 3rd of May, the Alto Tâmega and Barroso Tourist Office (PTAT) will be specially dedicated to promoting the Nadir Afonso Museum of Contemporary Art (MACNA), in Chaves.
For these days, anyone visiting this tourist promotion space will be encouraged to get to know and visit MACNA, through an exhibition of this cultural equipment, designed by the architect Álvaro Siza Vieira, and which constitutes a tribute to the flaviense master Nadir Afonso.
Here you can find a variety of information, namely literary works, exhibition catalogues, graphic images since the opening of this reference museum in contemporary art. It also includes two sculptures by Peter Rosman, donated by the artist to the Museum, which are part of a series of eight, called “ATM 8”. referring to all
MACNA currently has the exhibition “Olhares Modernos. The portrait in painting, sculpture, drawing (1910-1950)”, promoted in partnership with the National Museum of Contemporary Art MNAC,
From April 26th to May 3rd, travel through the cultural history of the municipality of Flavia at the PTAT, located in Alameda do Tabolado.
