22 November to 30 December | PTAT hosts painting exhibition by Júlio Ramada
From 22 November to 30 December 2025, the Alto Tâmega and Barroso Tourist Office (PTAT) will host an exhibition of paintings by Vidago artist Júlio Ramada, a leading figure in the cultural scene of Vidago. The exhibition brings together a collection of works that reflect the painter’s sensibility, marked by his exploration of the landscape, colour and everyday life in Trás-os-Montes.
Born in 1954, Júlio Ramada has dedicated his entire life to art and the community. For 40 years, he was a technology teacher at Fernão de Magalhães Secondary School in Chaves, influencing generations of students and promoting artistic expression. At the same time, he played an active role in the Vidago Cultural Centre and participated in various local cultural initiatives, including theatre and music, as a member of a local fado group.
With a consistent artistic career and several solo and group exhibitions throughout his career, Júlio Ramada now presents at PTAT a collection of works that highlight his creative identity and deep connection to the region.
PTAT, located on Alameda do Tabolado in Chaves, is open Monday to Sunday, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
