Roman bridge of the Arch
$1 por pessoa
Ponte do Arco was built in Roman times, over the Pinhão river, to connect two provinces – Lusitania and Tarraconense and the municipium of Aquae Flaviae, (Chaves). The bridge underwent renovations, but still preserves well-carved ashlars, a round arch and a horizontal deck, characteristic of Roman construction. It was classified as a Monument of Public Interest in 2015 due to its close connection to the Roman gold exploration in Jales and Tresminas.
