Ponte de Alvite
$1 por pessoa
Alvite bridge is at the bottom of the village that gives it its name, in the parish of Cerva, and has been the link between the two banks of the River Póio since time immemorial. Possibly of Roman origin, it is the only bridge of carved stone and undeniable antiquity that still stands on this river, after the destruction of the Cabriz and Cerva bridges by floods in 1935.
It has a deck resting on two slightly lowered, round arches accessed by two ramps that connect it to the banks. The surface still has the old cobbles made of small stones.
