Pitões das Júnias waterfall

In the heart of the Peneda-Gerês National Park, the waterfall is fed by the crystal-clear waters that flow past the Monastery of Santa Maria das Júnias. It has a waterfall of around 30 metres, followed by smaller ones. With easy access to the viewpoint via a wooden walkway, it is surrounded by a beautiful century-old oak grove and the idyllic landscapes of the country’s only national park. As beautiful as it is costly, people gather in the Porto da Lage oak grove to eat, rest and celebrate.
