Pedra d’Anta’s menhir

It is a large menhir, 4.30 metres long. It has a rectangular base and a two-sided body that ends in an elliptical shape. It is out of its original vertical position, having been removed a few years ago with a view to reusing its stone. It is currently lying next to its original location. On the visible side it has two engraved crosses that are not unique to the monument. It stands at an important natural access point between the Serra do Alvão and the Vale de Cerva.
