Old Church of Salto

As you enter Salto and head towards the town centre, you won’t be indifferent to the imposing church image at the top of Rua Padre Manuel José Jorge. This is the old parish church of Salto, the town’s main icon. It’s a romantic building that has undergone some structural remodelling over time. On the north and south walls of the nave you can see sections of the perfection with which stones were superimposed in the construction of the building.
