The recent space is a project by Cláudia Campos, Mario Neichel, and little Marc, who left Barcelona for Chaves last year, driven by the desire to live in the countryside. Cláudia, with her Transmontana roots, went to Barcelona to study cooking and did an internship at the starred restaurant Neichel, opened by French chef Jean-Luc Neichel. He met Mario, the chef’s son, and ended up staying in Barcelona for 12 years. But city fatigue made the couple start spending vacations in Trás-os-Montes, in an attempt to find a place to settle down. The ideal place turned out to be in the old presses of a manor house.
