The setting up of this center falls within the scope of an integrated project that includes the enhancement of Outeiro Lesenho, as a paradigm of the fortified settlements of the Castro culture of the Northwest Peninsular, through a set of research, documentation, exhibition and dissemination actions supported by a complex of pre-existing infrastructures adapted and qualified according to innovative principles of archaeological science and museology. Inside, in the permanent exhibition, the highlights are the replicas of the four statues of Gallic Warriors found in Outeiro Lesenho and whose originals are in the National Museum of Archaeology, in the Jerónimos Monastery, in Lisbon.
