The richness of the municipality’s school heritage and the memory of generations of ribeirapenenses is present in the Casa da Cultura – Museu da Escola, a space that allows understanding the evolution of primary education in Portugal. It is housed in an old Adães Bermudes school, a centenary building located in the center of Ribeira de Pena. In addition to interpreting the history of primary education in Portugal, it provides a Learning Center and a Resource Center for teachers, thus continuing to play an active role in teaching the locals. This museum combines traditional exhibitions with interactivity and multimedia means, attracting visitors of all generations.
