Chapel of Santa Margarida

The Chapel of Santa Margarida de Atilhó was built in 1763, as that is the date inscribed on the side façade on the Gospel side. The main façade has a rectangular portal, flanked by two horizontal openings, surmounted by a small oculus surrounded by a rosette. The belfry, richly decorated with volutes, is topped by a cross flanked by two pinnacles with a sphere. Inside, the main altar in gilded carving stands out, where honors are paid to Santa Margarida, patron saint of the village.
