Castro de Sapelos

Castro de Sapelos is one of the most complex fortified sites in the Upper Terva Valley, due to the articulation it creates between the lines of the wall and a labyrinthine complex of defensive ditches, which for decades were interpreted as mining trenches. The archaeological work it has been subject to has also allowed proof of its occupation between the 2nd century BC. and the 2nd century AD, with several circular and rectangular housing structures having been identified. From it you can admire the entire extension of the Terva Valley.
