Castro de Cabeço

“Castro de Cabeço” stands alone on top of a spur overlooking the Terva river, south of the Leiranco mountain range, dominating the landscape and offering good natural defense conditions. This fortified settlement from the Iron Age was endowed with a complex defensive system adapted to the geomorphological characteristics of the site. On the surrounding cliffs, there are rocky outcrops with rock carvings, and two granite blocks decorated with some of the symbols most used by the Castrejo inhabitants are also visible.
