Aguiar Castle is the result of a unique blend of nature and human ingenuity.

It is a rocky castle, supported by a gigantic granite cliff, the origins of which date back to the 9th/10th centuries.

This National Monument (1982), which is included in a classified natural area, has easy access and a viewpoint, at the highest point of the fortification, which allows a panoramic view over the Aguiar valley. It can be visited freely without any need to book in advance.
