Barroso Ecomuseum – Regional Birdlife Interpretive Centre

Located in the rural village of Tourém, it fulfils the role of environmental education.
Its themes centre on the preservation and maintenance of the natural heritage and landscape.
It is here that bird ringing has been carried out in the sallas valley for over 30 years and activities are organised to identify and observe the different species. Three trails start in this area, combining
with the territory: the Coastal Trail, the Bird Trail and the Smuggling Trail.
