Barroso Ecomuseum – Ecomuseum Village
por pessoa
Inserted in the Peneda-Gerês National Park (PNPG), this village has implemented a strategy to recover its community heritage, so that all the buildings dedicated to agricultural storage and processing continue to function and are a source of tourist attraction. In the centre of the village, recovered and with a thatched structure, is the ex-libris, a hydraulic mill, over two hundred years old, which combines the functions of mill, dynamo, saw and pisão, a function that is almost extinct. This is the starting point for guided tours through the streets of the village, to see and photograph the people’s oven, dozens of threshing floors, canasters and seven mills (in operation) that make up a real living museum.
